Heineken House – Sydney Airport – FAB Award Winner 2017 for Airport Bar of the Year APAC
Heineken House is the first flagship Heineken outlet to set foot in Australia, opening in Sydney Airport’s Terminal 1 in 2016 with a stunning view of the airfield and city lights. Designed by Mike McCann of Dreamtime Australia Design, Heineken House teams up with the award-winning The Bistro by Wolfgang Puck to offer travelers a premium dining and drinking experience.
Operated by Emirates Leisure Retail Australia (ELRA), the installations of Heineken House and The Bistro were designed to work hand in hand to bring the best of both brands to customers: the signature refreshing blend of Heineken beers and other drinks along with the top-class cuisine from The Bistro.
The bar has eye-catching features like an eight metre-high bottle wall and floor-to-ceiling windows that allow for a beautiful view of the city – especially at night. In 2017, Heineken House @ Sydney Airport was awarded by FAB as the Airport Bar of the Year in Asia Pacific.
With the steep growth of travel hospitality, Heineken House was one of a handful of new F&B roll-outs delivered in Sydney Airport under the lead of Adam Summerville. The Sydney Airport Heineken House is the fifth of its kind around the world, launched in Heineken’s global strategy to drive its growth in the travel retail industry.
